Happy new years to all. I want to know when you start your own publishing company do you put it as a Sole Proprietor or a Corporation?

Happy New Year. This is a great question.

Depending on the number of partners, tax concerns and liability issues you may choose one of the following business entities Sole Proprietor, Partnership, Limited Liability Company (llc) or Corporation. In most instances it's probably better to form either an LLC or Corporation from both a tax perspective and liability and/or to protect your personal assets should something go wrong while conducting business. Remember it's wise to seek the advice of those quailified and credential in tax and legal issues such as a C.P.A. (certified public accountant) and business/corporate attorney.
